MTG’s Viasat Broadcasting has signed an exclusive four-year pan Scandinavian agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution.
In the first deal of its kind in Scandinavia, Viasat has secured the broadcast rights to a range of blockbuster movies and hit TV series that will run on Viasat’s free-to-air channels in the region as well as the online and mobile rights to the Hollywood Studio’s content for the Viaplay multi-screen online video streaming service. The four-year deal starts from 2012.
Included in the package are the first run rights to recently released blockbuster Fox feature films including Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Black Swan, Never Let Me Go, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Gulliver’s Travels and X-Men: First Class.
Viasat has also acquired all first run rights to Fox US network television TV series produced from the beginning of 2012.

The shows will run on linear channels TV3, TV3 HD, TV6, TV8, TV3+, TV3+ HD, Viasat4, TV3 Puls and TV10 as well as pay VOD services.
