Modern Times Group (MTG) has announced two executive management appointments, both of which come into effect on May 31.
The first will see Anders Nilsson, COO at MTG, assume responsibility for the group’s pay-TV operations in the Baltic region.
The second will see Irina Gofman, CEO MTG Russia and CIS, assume responsibility for the group’s mini-pay channel business in CEE markets and other emerging markets and for its satellite pay-TV platform in Ukraine.
Nilsson has worked at MTG for 19 years, serving as its COO between 2000 and 2003 and since 2008.
Gofman, on the other hand, has been CEO MTG Russia and CIS since 2008, having previously worked for the group between 2002 and 2004 as COO of the DTV national network.
According to Hans-Holger Albrecht, president and CEO of MTG, the changes mark a natural progression of the MTG Media House strategy, combining both its free and pay-TV activities under one roof and consolidating its pay-TV operations.
