The leading Bulgarian cableco Blizoo plans to continue expanding its footprint by buying up smaller operators, according to its executive director Istvan Polony.
Quoted in Dnevnik, he added that its potential take-over targets are companies currently operating in the largest 25 cities in Bulgaria.
Blizoo, which is backed by the Swedish investment group EQT V, has increased its share of the cable market to 40% over the last 12 months and now has 400,000 subscribers.
Although it already operates in over 40 cities, it would also like to establish in presence in such others as Blagoevgrad and Veliko Turnovo, targeting operators with well developed customer bases.
Aside from its home market, Blizoo is also the leading cable operator in Macedonia.
