Long time Conax executive Geir Bjørndal is to leave the content security provider.
Bjørndal has played a key role in the development of the Norway-based business, which currently ranks 4th on the world’s pay-TV security companies, with over 350 customers in 80 countries.
Bjørndal joined mobile operator Telenor in 1992, moving to its subsidiary Conax in 1994. He was an early driver of the company’s global partner network and policy for open technology and has seen the company through a period of great change that has included significant market growth and the establishment of new ventures and international offices.
In a statement Conax thanked Bjørndal for his “highly valuable contribution” to the company.
