Sky Deutschland will shortly offer its subscribers more than 30 HD channels. The expansion will get underway on June 1, when channels from the HD+ package will make their debut.
These are RTL HD, Vox HD, RTL2 HD, Sat.1 HD, ProSieben HD, Kabel Eins HD, Sixx HD and Sport 1 HD. Later a third Sky Sport channel will be added in the HD format alongside the previously announced Sky Sport News HD.
The simulcrypt agreement with HD+ means customers can view the channels with a standard Sky HD receiver and NDS smart card.
Around one million customers now take the Sky HD offer.
