ANGA CABLE 2011 – COLOGNE. Nagra is picking up on the current industry enthusiasm for multiscreen product with a demonstration of several technologies that allow consumers to watch content on multiple devices.
The security specialist hopes to demonstrate how high value content can be protected as viewers engage with multiple screens.
“Whether on smart phones, connected TVs, PCs, or tablets, consumers today have come to expect multiscreen capabilities from their service provider,” said Holger Ippach, SVP Sales NCE at Nagra. “More than just hype, multiscreen television has today become a reality. At ANGA 2011, we will be presenting key solutions that can help operators distribute their content across multiple devices and bring these advanced services to market.”
Also on display will be some of Nagra’s latest set-top box solutions developed for European customers, including the Nagra-secured HD+ box. Service providers will also be able to see how they can successfully leverage the CE retail market to enrich their device offering through SmarDTV’s suite of removable security solutions that are market proven in major deployments.
SmarDTV will demonstrate its recently introduced SmarCAM, designed for German cable networks. Based on the broadly deployed SmarCAM-3 CI Plus platform, this CA Module ensures the highest level of interoperability with IDTVs and STBs.
