The Ministry of Communications and Transport (FMPIK) in Bosnia & Herzegovina (B&H) has received four bids to operate the country’s DTT and digital microwave services.
According to Balkans.com, they have come from UNIS Telekom (BAM6.64 million – €3.39 million), Croatia’s Ericsson Nikola Tesla (BAM6.73 million), Serbia’s Nera Beograd (BAM6.75 million) and Hungary’s Metalcom (BAM11.03 million).
Three areas (Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar) will initially be covered by DTT and two digital microwave links (Sarajevo-Banja Luka and Sarajevo-Mostar) established.
FMPIK is expected to announce a winner for the licences by the middle of May.
The three main broadcasters in B&H are likely to spend in region of BAM25 million in launching DTT services.
