The Neufbox Evolution hybrid IPTV set-top box is entering the next phase of its evolution with the addition of a number of apps and radio stations to its functionality.
French IPTV operator SFR has made a new firmware version available for its Evolution boxes. The new radio application gives subscribers direct access to around 30 radio stations, including the main public channels, as well as private broadcasters including RTL, France Inter, Le Mouv’ and Fun Radio. The stations are directly available via a special radio page displaying a mosaic of the logos of the various radio stations.
Another three new apps give viewers direct access to three online TV services, Météo France, L’Equipe TV and Dailymotion. Again, using a mosaic screen with the logos of the three online services, people can directly access these services. The operator expects to add more services before the summer including Picasa, Allociné, TV Immo (real estate) and the French Yellow Pages (Pages Jaunes).
