The Bulgarian incumbent telco Vivacom (BTC) may shortly see yet another change in ownership.
Novinite and Trud report that the Lebanese company Oger Telecom may acquire a 25% stake in the telco, as well as take over its management, within a month.
Rather than paying a fee, it will take on Vivacom’s debts, which are understood to be over €1.3 billion.
Vivacom has been backed by the Hong Kong entrepreneur Richard Li since last year.
Its interests include Vivacom TV, a DTH platform launched last summer that ended the year with almost 30,000 subscribers.
