Ukraine’s telecom market was worth UAH36.3 billion (€3.1 billion) excluding VAT in 2010, according to data produced by IKS-Consulting and published by proIT.
This represented an increase of 1.7% on the previous year, when it amounted to UAH35.7 billion.
Cable TV accounted for 3.1% of the total in 2010 and internet access 8.7%, with mobile (66%) claiming the lion’s share of revenues.
Separately. proIT reports that the Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee (AKU) would like to regulate the fees charged by cable operators in order to stop them abusing their monopoly position.
