Arianespace has set a new date for flight VA201, which will carry Yahsat Y1A and Intelsat New Dawn. Liftoff is now scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2011. Astra 1N will be launched in June.
With the additional checkout and verification now in progress on the Ariane 5 ECA launcher, Arianespace has decided to resume the operations for Ariane flight VA201.
Arianespace also has set the following dates for its two subsequent Ariane 5 missions: Ariane Flight VA202, utilising an Ariane 5 ECA to launch the ST-2 and GSAT-8 satellite payloads is ser for May 19, 2011, and Ariane Flight VA203, with an Ariane 5 ECA carrying the ASTRA 1N and BSAT-3c passengers is scheduled on June 29, 2011.
The launch sequence for flight VA201 was interrupted at the last moment on the original launch date on March 30.
