Sony has announced that its Bravia 2010 and 2011 models have been certified by UPC Nederland for usage with a CI Plus module and UPC smart card. So far, UPC has not issued any details about the availability of CI Plus modules for its network in the Netherlands.CI Plus modules are available for a number of operators in the country including cablers Ziggo, Caiway, Deltakabel and Kabel Noord. A CI module is also available for the DTT service Digitenne van KPN. UPC Nederland announced the launch of CI Plus for additional TV sets, but has not made an official announcement on pricing. Liberty Global’s Unitymedia in Germany and UPC Cablecom in Switzerland have already introduced CI Plus modules on their respective networks.
