Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc) has entered into a strategic agreement with Eastern Space Systems (ESS) in Bulgaria.
Under it, ESS will take over the running of TSBc’s earth station operation in the country while TSBc will continue to manage satellite capacity requirements.
The agreement will allow TSBc to focus on growth in its main market segments – DTH operators and international broadcasters – in the CEE region.
For Romania-based ESS, on the other had, it offers the opportunity of expansion into a neighbouring country.
ESS is a long-standing partner of TSBc in the one degree West position.
