Sky Deutschland will later this month launch its Sky Go iPad app, costing €12 a month, according to the German telecom news website Teltarif.de.
The new subscription model will be made available to all current Sky customers and will also include the broadcaster’s iPhone app. The type of Sky subscription the viewer buys will determine the number of channels available on the iPad and iPhone.
The use of both the iPhone and iPad apps was free to all Sky Deutschland subscribers has been free until now, but from sometime this month a separate payment will be needed. With the subscription, up to four different devices may be activated to make truly multiscreen access possible.
