CTC MEDIA CAPITAL MARKETS DAY – LONDON. CTC Media will have widget for three of its TV channels by this summer, according to Anna-Maria Treneva, the company’s head of digital products.
It will initially provide them for smart TVs (connected TVs) produced by LG and Philips, with other vendors likely to come on board in 2012, and in the IPTV sector work initially with Beeline.
Technologically the most advanced IPTV platform in Russia, the latter currently has around 130,000 subscribers, with the number set to rise to 300,000 by the end of the year.
Aside from the CTC Media channels, the company will develop widgets for VideoMore.ru, its platform for new media distribution.
The CTC Media channels will be monetised through advertising VOD and transaction and VideoMore through advertising VOD, transaction VOD and subscription.
Treneva added that in the mobile sector, CTC Media plans to launch an iPhone mobile app for CTC in the next few days that will also become available on Android devices in the next couple of months.
Its DTV channel app will follow this summer and Domashny app in 2012.
