Mediaset has warned that its pay DTT service might be hurt by the expiry of content deals with Italy’s telcos.
Announcing its year-end results, the first announcement since the demise of rival Dahlia, the company said it expected further revenue growth during 2011. However, there would be effects from the end of the multiyear supply contracts.
Total revenues for Mediaset Premium on 2010 came to €560.6 million, an increase of 24.9%, and taking the division to operating breakeven.
EBIT rose to €596.1 million, compared with €478.7 million in the previous year. Net profit increased by 30.1% to €350.1 million.
