Viaccess is to provide its scalable and flexible advanced content protection and rights management solution to NTV-Plus as the Russian DTH platform enters the country’s IPTV market.
NTV-Plus will offer Russian broadband operators over 100 TV channels for IPTV programming, using Viaccess’ smart card, based on advanced content protection solution.
NTV-Plus is the longest-established DTH platform in the CEE region, having made its debut in 1996.
It was the first company to launch HD channels in Russia (2007) and also the first to launch a 3D service (2010).
