Novel Super TV and SMiT have jointly launched the new CI+ TF CAM. The new product, which uses the CI Plus common interface standard, is designed to better support interactive services.
Conditional access provider Novel-SuperTV Digital TV Technology Co., Ltd is one of China’s leading technology companies, delivering solutions for cable, satellite, terrestrial, IPTV and mobile networks. It was also the first Chinese company in the digital TV sector to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Mr Shen, the deputy general manager of Novel Super TV said SMiT was a long term partner and the co-operation between the two companies had been well maintained. “We have played on our advantages in conditional access, coupled with SMiT CAM technical support and world brand influence, I believe we will create a stronger CI + CAM market impact.”
SMiT vice president Stephen He added that the combination of the two resources made it possible to offer a product with a more stable performance. “It actually enriches SMiT existing CAM product range, and brings us new market opportunities through working with Novel Super TV”.
SmiT has also developed CAMs suitable for use with video on demand and personal video recorders as operators look to further increase ARPU.
