The Russian telco VolgaTelecom has extended its IPTV service to the city of Penza.
According to AKTR and Penzanews, it is offering a basic package consisting of over 70 TV channels, with its existing internet subscribers being able to receive it for R125 (€3.12). Additional packages, along with VOD, are also available.
VolgaTelecom is the largest telco in the Volga region and currently in the process of being re-organised, along with other Svyazinvest companies, by being merged into Rostelecom to create a national telecommunications operation.
It ended 2010 with 1.2 million internet subscribers, along with 280,000 receiving its cable and terrestrial TV services.
