Viacom International Media Networks has announced the promotion of Tom Armstrong to VP, digital sales, Viacom Brand Solutions International. Reporting to Dave Sibley, EVP and managing sirector, VBSI and Philip Bourchier O’Ferrall, SVP of digital, VIMN, Armstrong will be responsible for overseeing the advertising sales for VIMN digital platforms.
Based in VIMN’s London HQ, he will be returning to the UK after four years in Australia where he was VP, business development and digital, MTV Networks Australia and New Zealand.
Armstrong will manage and direct digital advertising sales across more than 400 digital VIMN properties including channel brands MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, TMF (The Music Factory), VIVA, Paramount Comedy, Comedy Central, Game One, Neopets, GameTrailers, Shockwave, Addicting Games and Atom Films.
Previous to his four years at MTV Networks Australia and New Zealand, Armstrong was director of dales for the Nordic and emerging markets at Discovery, and international sales and development manager at Two Way TV. Armstrong began his career at MTV Networks Europe in the commercial operations team in 1996.
