Belgian DTH platform TV Vlaanderen is set to challenge cable operator Telenet and incumbent telecom provide Belgacom with a new multiplay offer, said board member Dirk Haesaert. The company, which is part of the M7 Group, hopes to announce a partner soon.
The offer will include telephony and broadband access. TV Vlaanderen’s sister company Canal Digitaal Satelliet in The Netherlands already offers an “all-in-1” multiplay offer following the signing of a wholesale contract with KPN to provide DSL 20 Mbps broadband access and telephony services.
Haesaert also said TV Vlaanderen now has a total of 125,000 subscribers, an increase of 15% over the past year.
