A new DTH platform has made its debut in Russia. Known as Scene, it is employing two transponders at 36 degrees East to offer a service that complements those already provided by NTV-Plus and Tricolor TV, both of which are backed by Gazprom-Media.
Scene is operated by New Media Legend (NML), a Russian satellite communications operator that provides services to such leading DTH platforms as NTV-Plus and Tricolor TV, along with TV channels via Eutelsat W4 and W7 at 36 degrees East.
Launched in 2006, NML has its own teleport located in the Communications Centre of Skolkovo.
