Cyfrowy Polsat Technology has already manufactured 2 million receivers for its parent company Cyfrowy Polsat, the leading DTH platform in Poland.
It plans to produce a further million this year, solely for Cyfrowy Polsat, with the majority being in the HD standard.
Up until now Cyfrowy Polsat Technology, which is based in Warsaw, has made no fewer than five models of receivers: Mini, Familijny, F300, M100 and HD5000. A further model will be introduced this year.
Over one million of Cyfrowy Polsat’s subscriber base, which stood at nearly 3.5 million at the end of 2010, already use HD receivers.
The DTH platform introduced HD channels to its line-up in November 2007 and currently offers a total of 14, with more due to be added later this year.
