Canal+ SA has announced that it requested NYSE Euronext to suspend trading of its shares for Thursday 17 and Friday, February 18, 2011.

In a related development, the IPO registration document for French media group Lagardere’s stake in pay-TV group Canal Plus was expected to be released on the AMF regulator’s website on Thursday, a source close to the matter told Reuters. Lagardere plans to sell its 20% stake in Canal+ France.
