The Polish cable operator Inea plans to increase it subscriber base by 13% this year.
Figures produced by the company, which is based in the city of Poznan and groups together a number of cablecos located in the Wielkopolska region of Poland, for Rzeczpospolita indicate that Inea ended 2010 with 137,000 subscribers, or only 3,000 more than a year earlier. The projected increase for 2010 had been 10,0000 subscribers.
As of last December, 57% of Inea customers opted for two services (TV and internet) and 57% of TV subscribers were digital.
The number of fixed line and mobile telephony subscribers meanwhile stood at 22,000 and 3,000 respectively.
Inea had revenues of PLN117 million (€29.8 million) in 2010 – a figure it hopes to increase to PLN131 million this year.
Its EBITDA amounted to PLN50 million, which should increase to PLN53 million this year.
