SES Astra is currently in negotiations with three partners who want to launch DTH platforms in the CEE region.
The news was given by Martin Ornass-Kubacki, VP and chief regional officer, Astra CEE, in a press conference in Warsaw yesterday (February 9), where he added that in each case the partners were from smaller markets.
Ornass-Kubacki also said that interest in launching 3D channels had already been shown by several operators in the region, including Bulgaria’s Satellite BG.
Furthermore, he said that the Polish station TV Trwam had signed a five-year agreement with SES Astra last December and that negotiations with the public broadcaster TVP, with which the operator has an agreement up to 2014, are still continuing.
