Liquidators at the Italian DTT pay platform Dahlia TV have committed to continue broadcasts for another 15 days. It follows representations from the Italian football league, which has agreed to defer payments owed to it through until at least February 15.
The league, which covers Serie A and Serie B, approached the liquidators on Monday. Costs, reportedly locally as being in the region of €120,000 per da,y will be met by the shareholders in the troubled venture led by the Swedish Airplus TV.
Filippo Chiusano, CEO of Filmmaster Television, which produces Dahlia’s football coverage has raised the possibility of two separate operations being formed, one run on behalf of the league and a second with documentary and adult programming.
