Teleste saw operating profits increase by a massive 72.7% in the final quarter of 2010 to reach €3 million. The Finnish technology and network services provider benefitted from an order from the French police and the first shipments under a €16 million Frame agreement with the Israeli operator HOT Telecom.
Across 2010, improved sales of €167.8 delivered operating profits of €7.4 million, an increase of 194.5% year-over-year.
Teleste, known for its honest assessments of the market said it anticipated deliveries in 2011 to be at least equal to those of the last 12 months, as European telecoms operators launch their TV network investments.
Network services remain stable, particularly in the main market of Germany, where ongoing streamlining measures are expected to improve profitability in the second half of the year. Central & East Europe has developed a small backlog due to recent weather conditions.
