Romania’s Digital Cable Systems (DCS) has allocated €10 million for investment this year.
Speaking to ZF, its general manager Dinu Malacopol said that half of the amount would be obtained from loans.
DCS, which is backed by AIG and operates under the brand name AKTA, is the third largest cable company in Romania after RCS/RDS and UPC. It also operates one of the country’s five DTH platforms.
As of the end of 2010 the company had 180,000 analogue and digital cable and 70,000 DTH subscribers.
A further 50,000 received its fixed telephony and internet services.
