BeeSmart grows customer base

January 24, 2011 10.09 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Slovenian interactive TV solution provider BeeSmart and Cambridge, UK-based provider of SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) rendering technology Ekioh have announced a 300% growth in customers over the last 12 months.

According to the two companies, there are already over 130,000 end users running BeeSmart middleware clients and the Ekioh SVG User Interface engine.

“BeeSmart’s early confidence in our SVG UI Engine has been very helpful in driving our technology to telcos, and has helped us tailor the product for their needs.” said Piers Wombwell, CEO at Ekioh, “We are delighted that BeeSmart has benefitted from the fast and attractive user interface design they deliver to their customers.”

“The Ekioh SVG UI engine provides us a very flexible environment in which we are able to design responsive and visually attractive user interfaces for the end-client.” added Marko Hiti, CTO at BeeSmart, “Since our solution comes with a complete set of tools for development of custom applications, the same level of flexibility can be achieved by our partners who use BeeSmart Software Development Kit for designing their own tailored TV applications.”

BeeSmart will be demonstrating its middleware technology incorporating the Ekioh SVG Engine at the IPTV World Forum in London from March 22-24.
