Kantara Media has secured a contract to undertake TV audience measurement in Romania from January 1, 2012 until the end of 2015.
According to Financiarul, the value of the four-year contract, secured in a tender organised by the Romanian Association for Audience Measurement (ARMA), is €10.6 million.
Bids for the contract were received from Nielsen (formerly AGB), GFK Romania, Kantara Media (formerly TNS) and Media Research and judged by five members of the National Audiovisual Council (CNA), five representatives of TV stations and five of ad agencies.
The current TV audience measurement contract, worth some €9 million, has been held by GfK Romania since 2008 and will expire at the end of this year.
