French 24-hour news channel i>Tele, part of the Canal+ Group, has launched apps for the iPad and iPhone, which gives access to the live stream of the channel.
These applications can not only access the live stream, but also unlocks VOD content as well as a number of ‘extras’, additional material not broadcast. The on-demand content includes reports, reviews, interviews and magazines produced by the editors of the channel.
Meanwhile, competiting news channel BFM has updated its iPhone BFM TV app. The application brings some ideas of the iPad version to the iPhone and now allows VOD access to a number of programmes and news items.
