Sky Deutschland subscribers that take advantage of the platform’s Sky Sport app for the iPad are to gain additional flexibility with its extension to 3G. Previously the app that enables live streaming of Sky Sport 1, Sky Sport 2 and Sky Sport Austria has been restricted to Wi-Fi reception.
“The original Sky Sports App was revolutionary and the addition of HD made it even better,” said Sky Deutschland CEO Brian Sullivan. “With the expansion into 3G, we have been able to go one step further and allow our customers the unique broadcasts from Sky in an even more flexible format.”
Included on the App is coverage of Bundesliga football, the UEFA Champions League, golf, ice hockey and tennis. There is no additional charge for the app through until the end of September.
