The iPhone and iPod applications from the Dutch public broadcasters have been downloaded over 1 million times since September 2009. The catch-up service Uitzending Gemist was requested 570,000 times.
According to the broadcasters, 10% of all catch up TV viewing is done on a mobile device. This amounted to a total of 17 million views in 2010. The most popular programmes are the NOS News, the daily talk show De Wereld Draait Door and youth soap Spangas.
The various radio applications have been downloaded over 430,000 times, with the ones for pop music station 3FM (171,000) and news station Radio 1 (146,000) times.
