The Czech Republic’s second largest cable operator Nej TV has provided details of its current activities and strategy for this year.
Quoted by Digizone, the company says it now has over 75,000 cable TV, 25,000 internet and 9,000 subscribers.
Nej TV is backed by BKS Capital Partners and made its debut in 2008. It has since grown through the acquisition of several operators, the most recent being that of Kabelová televize Prerov, which it will start merging with its other assets from this month.
This will effectively amount to the creation of a new and streamlined company named Nej TV a.s.
Nej TV is present in over 70 locations, offering subscribers over 100 Czech and international TV channels. It has also made DTT services available to its viewers since June 2010.
Nej TV operates in a market in which UPC is the undisputed market leader, currently claiming some 525,000 subscribers.
