French triple play operator SFR has now officially announced the launch of its DTH service for people who can not be connected to their IPTV service. Delivery of the new service will begin in the first weeks of February, 2010. Frank Esser, CEO SFR, has already told French press the operator was planning the satellite service.
The DTH offer consists of up to 75 channels including all the free-to-view digital terrestrial channels as delivered via the TNTSat service on Astra as well as a number of HD chnnels. In addition, people can subscribe to the additional premium tiers Les Chaînes Canal+ and the Canalsat bouquets.
People wishing to buy the new satellite DTH service can order the installation service organised by SFR.
