Hungary ended October with 829,894 DTH and MMDS subscribers, according to data produced by the country’s National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH).
It also a 523,606 digital cable and IPTV customers, while the total number of TV subscription, regardless of technology, stood at around 3,022,000.
UPC was the leading provider of wired broadcast services, claiming a 33.2% share among the 10 leading providers. Magyar Telekom was in second place with 23.0%, followed by Digi with 15.9%.
The wirelesss broadcasting market (effectively DTH and MMDS) was meanwhile dominated by Digi (45.2%).
