Amino Technologies says it is anticipating a small loss when it announces its 2010 results in early February. The Cambridge-based developer of products for IPTV said it had made good progress throughout the year and anticipated to report within market expectations. Its results for the year to November 30, 2009 the company recorded a loss of £8.8 million.
In a trading statement, Amino said orders received in the second half of 2010 had totalled 307,000 units compared to 280,000 in the second half of 2009 and 351,000 in the first half of 2010. This contributed to the company’s highest annual order intake of 658,000 set-top boxes of which 157,000 scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2011.
Amino has now broken into Tier 1 providers in Western Europe with the deployment on December 1 of the Amino Freedom hybrid/OTT product. It said interest from other operators was also strong.
Amino is benefitting from improved economic conditions in North America and says it is Company is seeing large sales volumes coming from Eastern Europe and European tier 2 operators, including Tele2.
