RCS/RDS has applied to Romania’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA) for a licence to operate a new satellite-delivered channel.
According to Mediafax, it will be known as 10 TV and offer a mix of movies (50%) and entertainment (50%).
The start up costs of the new channel will be €1.179 million, followed by an annual investment of €3.5 million.
Advertising, which will be introduced in 2011, is expected to earn 10 TV €2.5 million a year.
Separately, the CNA has awarded a licence to a new satellite-delivered channel named Travel Channel Mix. It will be operated by the company Mixmontan and offer a mix of acquired (74%) and in-house (26%) productions.
