TV Norge channels Fem and The Voice were back on Get screens in Norway Saturday after the 48-hour standoff between content provider and cable company came to an end. A new agreement has been signed restoring the channels and adding TV Norge HD and new channel Max for the first time.
“These have been difficult negotiations, but we are happy that we finally reached an agreement that ensures Get customers can access TV Norge’s channels, Get CEO Gunnar Evensen said in a statement.
“The agreement with the Get is important and means that the Max is now available to customers at major distributors in Norway,” added Harald Stromme, executive director of TV Norge.
TV Norge HD and Max have already been added to the basic package, while TV Norge HD will be made available once technical arrangements have been made.
No prices were announced, but during the negotiations Get had said the offer was not comparable with other channels.
Leading commercial channel TV Norge remained on air throughout.
