Ocean Blue Software has said it has ported its Sunrise HD DVB stack and Voyager HD MHEG-5 stack onto the new Trident PNX847x (Apollo) Chipset. The MHEG-5 stack includes support for the BBC iPlayer, which a number of manufacturers are including in Freeview HD devices.
The integration is the latest co-operation between Ocean Blue and Trident, which has seen the Bristol-based company’s software being made available on successive chipset generations.
“This category of SoC in conjunction with Ocean Blue’s middleware will drive the next generation of connected consumer devices,” said Ocean Blue director Philip Evans.
Voyager MHEG is compliant with DTG Freeview software standards and Ocean Blue also offers MHEG profiles for Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
