Belgacom teams with Blinkx for video search

Belgacom has announced a strategic partnership with Blinkx, a video search engine to facilitate retrieval of TV and video on the new entertainment platform from Belgacom TV.This strategic partnership is exclusive to Belgium and Luxembourg and will pave the way for new business models and opportunities in digital television and entertainment.

Belgacom will use Blinckx technology to build its next generation entertainment platform. This will provide more content and applications for a growing variety of devices, including TVs, PCs and Macs, and mobile devices to create a personalised entertainment experience.
