On the night of November 15 to 16, two French regions, Burgundy and Franche-Comté, will switch to digital by ending all analogue broadcasts.
Following the switch-off on November 16, there will be 10 regions – representing more than 20 million viewers, or 34% of the French population – that have only access to digital terrestrial television. The switch-over process started on November 18, 2009 and will end in November 2011.
The two most recent ASOs were in the Champagne-Ardenne and Lorraine on September 28 and the Centre and Poitou-Charentes on October 19.
