Russia’s ad market is likely to grow by 12% this year to R228 billion (€5.42 billion) and a further 15% in 2011 to R261 billion, according to a report produced by Group M.
The forecast, published by Kommersant, is slightly less optimistic than ones recently brought out by Video International and ZenithOptimedia, which predict growth of 14-16% this year and 16-18% in 2011. However, it still supports the view that ad spend in Russia is rebounding strongly after what was a difficult 2009.
Most forecasts suggest the strongest growth is likely to be in the internet sector.
