Mediaset Premium, the DTT-delivered pay-TV service, continues to perform strongly in the Italian market.
In the nine months to September 30, 2010, revenues from the sale of cards, re-charges and Easy Pay subscriptions amounted to €342.5 million, an increase of 61.4% on the September 2009.
The number of active cards was around 3.3 million, compared with around 2.9 million for the same period of the previous year.
Mediaset described the results as “brilliant” taking into account that on June 30, 2010 more than 2 million Premium cards had expired
Mediaset Premium is now well into breakeven and reported a net profit of €207.0 million, compared with €156.0 million for the same period last year.
