The Luxembourg based Luxe.tv channel, with programming on the luxury lifestyle, continues broadcasting under the name Luxury Life HD. The re-branding follows a declaration of in solvency of Luxe.tv’s holding company by a court in Luxembourg.
Last August it became apparent that Luxe.tv was in financial trouble when the broadcaster laid off two-thirds of its work force. On October 15th, a Luxembourg court declared the company bankrupt.
Following the court’s ruling, a new channel named Luxury Life HD appeared on some of the frequencies formerly used by Luxe.tv. However, some distribution stopped, including the DVB-T broadcasts in Luxembourg.
Programming of the new Luxury Life HD is much like its predecessor, with emphasis on luxury living, real estate, fast cars and boats, jewelry, sports, watches, fashion, beauty, gourmet dinners and more. The original Luxe.tv was one of the very first free-to-air channels broadcasting native HD programming around the clock.
