The Polish commercial broadcaster TVN’s pay-TV operations go from strength to strength, with revenues increasing by PLN57 million (€14.49 million), or 56%, year-on-year in the third quarter.
Most of the growth was down to the DTH platform n, which ended Q3 with 739,000 active subscribers, or 167,000 (29%) more than in the same period last year.
ARPU for n meanwhile amounted to PLN60.3 in Q3, largely down to price rises that came into effect last June.
TNK, the pre-paid DTH service operated by TNK, meanwhile ended Q3 with an active customer base of 279,000, or 75% more than 12 months earlier.
Of these, 10,000 were active clients of the TNK HD offer. ARPU for TNK stood at PLN12.1 in Q3, a 25% increase on a year earlier.
Platform n’s subscriber total is now expected to reach 800,000 by the end of this year.
