The Turkish premium pay-TV movie channel group SinemaTV has secured a package deal with Walt Disney Company EMEA.
SinemaTV, which is a subsidiary of Multi Channel Developers (MCD), was established in 2008 and currently operates eight premium pay-TV movie channels. Five of these use the Sinema TV and three the FilmClub brand names.
Speaking at the IPTV World Forum in Istanbul earlier this month, SinemaTV’s CMO Yaman Alpata said that the group had content deals with all Hollywood studios with the exception of Warner Bros.
He added that it is distributed by all the DTH, cable, IPTV and web TV digital platforms in Turkey except Digitürk and had 400,000 subscribers.
