Euronews and National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU), one of its shareholders, will launch a Ukrainian version of the news channel in 2011.
A 24-7 service, it will be overseen in Ukraine by NTU and by euronews in targeting Ukrainian speakers around the world.
This will be the first time that euronews produces local programmes related to national news,with a joint team of NTU and euronews based in Kiev and working closely with the Ukrainian service based in Lyon.
Significantly, the agreement includes the creation of a local ad window for the Ukrainian market.
The new service will also join the ten existing language versions of euronews on www.euronews.net.
