The Czech Republic is likely to see the launch of what will be its fifth DTH platform at the beginning of next month.
Parabola reports that T-Mobile will then start operating a virtual service from the 23.5 degrees slot, employing the infrastructure currently used by Skylink, the Czech/Slovak DTH platform operated jointly by Towercom and TradeTec.
T-Mobile will also use the same Irdeto/Cryptoworks conditional access as Skylink.
The Czech Republic is currently served by the DTH platforms Skylink, CS Link, Digi TV and UPC Direct, with Skylink the undisputed market leader.
